New series of monthly walks around W6

HammersmithLondon is kicking off a new series of free monthly guided walks around W6 with a visit to the Town Hall in King Street.

These lunchtime walks will last 45 minutes and take place on the last Friday of each month. The first will be on January 29 at 1pm.

The visit, led by a Blue Badge Guide, will include access to parts of the building rarely seen by members of the public.

Walkers should meet at 1 Lyric Square. If you would like to take part you are asked to RSVP on 020 8741 8157.

HammersmithLondon is also launching a series of Saturday morning walks for Privilege Card Holders on the first Saturday of each month. The first will be on February 6 from 11am till noon, beginning at Goldhawk Road tube and ending at Lyric Square.

HammersmithLondon's description of the walk is as follows: From labourers' cottages to media chic - explore Brackenbury Village, its charming streets, local shops and its connection with a gruesome murder. And Hammersmith industry past and present - from Innocent Smoothies to the business started by Mr. Wimpey. Meet Goldhawk Road tube station.

Again these walks are led by Blue Badge guides and as they must leave on time, walkers are asked to be punctual.
