Available to individuals with ideas that will benefit older people
Hammersmith United Charities is launching a new programme of grants to support early stage individual social entrepreneurs with an idea which might benefit older people.
Grants can be made at any time over the next 18 months.
These grants can only be made to individuals, not organisations and can be offered to cover a range of costs which will enable applicants to develop and test their idea and to bring it to the market place.
Business ideas might be products or services but the long term aim is that whatever it is should eventually be paid for by "customers" (whether individuals, organisations or a commissioner such as the council or health service).
Perhaps you have an idea for producing and distributing readymade healthy meals from different communities’ cuisines? Or an idea for tackling loneliness? Or for helping older people with their gardens? Or for supporting older people with technology? Or arranging days out or holidays? Or a product to make them feel more secure in their own homes? Or to alert adult children living a long way away if there is a problem? Or to train informal carers so they feel more confident? Or a daily living aid for people with dementia?
If you have an idea – whatever stage of development it is at – which you think might benefit from one of these grants, please get in touch for a chat.
