Since the last edition, Greg:

• Welcomed the Boundary Commission’s plans for a revised Chelsea & Fulham parliamentary constituency. For more information, see below.
• · Held further meetings with key decision-makers at the Royal Brompton Hospital to fight NHS PCTs’ plans to end children’s cardiac surgery at the hospital.
• · Welcomed bombshell news that the “godfather” of the Thames Tideway Tunnel (or “Super Sewer”) project has changed his mind, and has called for a re-think of the whole scheme. For more, see below.
• · Was guest speaker at a Reform think tank dinner on “The City of the Future”, held at the Guildhall, City of London.
• · Joined the Chancellor for his Commons statement on banking reform. Greg is the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon George Osborne MP.
• · Met a Fulham software company concerned with the high cost of NHS IT programmes, and with suggestions for cost savings and greater efficiencies.
• · Praised the Government in the House of Commons for ending the last Labour Government’s steady closure of rape crisis centres. For more, see below.
• · Attended the annual appeal dinner of the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) in central London to raise funds for Holocaust teaching in British schools.
• · Was briefed by the Indian High Commission in London ahead of Greg’s visit to India next week, with key meetings with Government Ministers, officials and the Indian Central Bank.
• · Met the Director of Communication sat the FSA (Financial Services Authority) for discussions on banking reform.
• · Attended the Carlton Club’s political dinner in central London, with guest speaker Rt Hon David Cameron M.P., the Prime Minister.
