Christmas fairs, parties, concerts and even a panto for adults - it's all happening right here in SW6.

We've put together a guide to all the festive goings on in Fulham, starting this weekend. And keep checking back, as we'll be updating this page with new events throughout December.

On Friday December 3, don't miss the big switch on taking place outside St John's Church. Tribute Band Take That 2 will be the stars of the Town Centre Christmas lights party.

The party will also include Fulham Brass Band, a gift market and food hall, Aquabatics Water Fountain, Santa's Grotto and much more. The event lasts from 3.30pm till 7.30pm with lights switched on by Deputy Mayor Cllr Frances Stainton at 6pm.

On Saturday, December 4, there is a village Christmas Fair and Market on Parsons Green, which is presented by Pippa Popins Nursery Schools and is in aid of two children’s charities - the WellChild Charity and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

The fair is open from 11am till 5pm and includes live reindeer found grazing in Father Christmas’s Winter Wonderland, next to a Galloping-Horses Carousel.  There are a Stilt-Walking Jack Frost and Snow, a festive Punch & Judy and Face-Painters will keep little ones entertained, as well as a large selection of stalls. At dusk, the day ends with a magical candlelit carol service around the Christmas tree, accompanied by The Fulham Brass Band.

Also on December 4, a Christmas Fair is being held at Maggie's Cancer Caring CentreMaggie's London.
holding a Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 12 from noon till 4pm at Maggie’s, by Charing Cross Hospital. There will be lots of stalls to help you find perfect Christmas gifts including jewellery, soaps, scarves, homemade pots, toys, kids clothes, cakes, chutneys, gifts and more. You’ll be able to
have your photo taken with Santa Claus and receive a gift too. There will be lots of delicious food and drink for you to buy from savoury snacks, cakes,
mulled wine and mince pies. Entry is £3 (£1 for under 12 year olds). For more information, call 020 7386 1753.

SnowdropsThere is a Christmas Activity Weekend on Saturday December 4 and Sunday 5 at Fulham Palace Garden Centre which will include a range of children's activities including face painting (11am to 4pm), lucky dip and festive balloons. For adults there will be mulled wine, mince pies and roasted chestnuts.

All profits from the garden centre go to Fairbridge, the national charity supporting young people from disadvantaged areas.

 

At Fulham Palace on Sunday December 5, at 11am and 1pm is a Theatre Show – The Little Hippo Interactive puppet show by Tam Tam Theatre, a bilingual performance in both English and French which lasts 45 minutes.

For his birthday Little Hippo received lots of beautiful presents but it is Daddy Hippo’s present that Little Hippo prefers - a seemingly ordinary red pen. Inside the red pen are the most beautiful things in the world – but how to get them out...?

Based on the story ‘Petit Hippo et son stylo magique’ by West African writer Alain Serge Dzotap, this is an inventive and appealing interactive puppet show where the very young are invited to make their own use of Little Hippo’s pen.

This theatre treat is best suited to children under 6. Tickets £10 for adults, £6 for children.

Also on December 5, from 2pm till 3.30pm, Fulham Palace is hosting a Christmas Decorations Workshop. Get into the spirit of Christmas and make your own Christmas decorations with all things colourful and glittery.
