Fulham Symphony Orchestra Come to Town Hall on July 5

Promising a night of thrilling music including a new work by composer Tom Evans

Fulham Symphony Orchestra are performing a concert at Hammersmith Town Hall on Saturday July 5, promising a night of thrilling music including Debussy’s spine-tingling seascape ‘La Mer’ and Britten’s powerful and moving ‘Sinfonia da Requiem’.

Clare Howick plays the Violin Concerto by Oscar-winning composer Korngold, and there will be the world première of a new work by the orchestra's very own composer Tom Evans.

The concert, which is part of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham’s World War 1 Centenary Commemorations begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £10, or £8 concessions and can be bought online.

Fulham Symphony Orchestra are a thriving and ambitious amateur orchestra, performing three or four concerts a year in the Hammersmith and Fulham area.

The orchestra say they currently have vacancies in these sections:

  • violin
  • viola
  • cello
  • double bass
  • horn

They welcome potential new players of around Grade 8 standard or above, so if you're interested in playing they would love to hear from you. Please email  membership@fso.org.uk.

Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at the Hammersmith Novotel, normally for nine weeks before a concert.
