Support London's Busiest Foodbank This Christmas

Help families in crisis by donating essential items at collection points across H&F

Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank is officially London’s busiest foodbank, with the latest figures showing it served the higher number of clients in the capital between April and September.

Over the last two years, the number of families fed by the Foodbank has more than doubled, partly due to the roll-out of Universal Credit.

1,500 local families have been helped during the last six months, and in the weeks before Christmas supplies of essential items are once again running low.

"We need to help every client who comes to us," said Daphine Aikens, CEO of H&F Foodbank. "Nobody chooses to be reliant on food and other supplies from us, yet with the cold weather setting in, more people are being faced with the stark choice between heating and eating."

Here's what is urgently needed:

  • LONG LIFE JUICE (1 LITRE)
  • UHT MILK (1 LITRE)
  • TINNED MEAT - CORNED BEEF, CHICKEN, MINCE, ETC
  • TINNED RICE PUDDING (400GMS)
  • TINNED VEGETABLES - PEAS, CARROTS, SWEETCORN ETC
  • NON-REFRIDGERATED SPONGE PUDDINGS
  • TINNED FRUIT (400GMS)
  • PASTA SAUCE (IN JARS)
  • COFFEE - SMALL JARS
  • SPREADS - PEANUT BUTTER/JAM

Right now they have plenty of:

  • FEMININE HYGIENE - PADS AND TAMPONS
  • BAKED BEANS
  • PASTA AND RICE
  • TEA
  • TINNED PULSES - KIDNEY BEANS/CHICKPEAS ETC

There are collection points across the borough, including Hammersmith Town Hall, libraries and Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets.

There is also a collection point within estate agent Willmotts, at 12 Blacks Road, next to the King Street branch of M&S.
