The cafe was located in the grounds of The Black Lion pub
Skittle Alley Coffee & Pantry which was based in the grounds of The Black Lion pub on Hammersmith riverside, has closed.
The shop was opened two years ago by two local residents on the borders of Hammersmith and Chiswick who saw a niche for a cafe where locals could meet up over coffee and buy produce, such as bread and eggs, from the pantry.
On Saturdays they held a farmers' market outside the shop between 9am and 1pm.
However it appears that the owner of the pub has decided to take the space back and recently gave a month's notice to the Skittle Alley cafe owners, Lindsay and Georgina. They said;
"We are grateful to the management of The Black Lion for giving us the opportunity to run a coffee shop from the skittle alley over the last two years. Naturally, we respect their desire to reclaim the space for their own business and we wish them the very best.
"We look forward to bringing, what has become such a hub for our community and, such a joy to be part of, to another premises nearby in the future."
