Opening of Jack and the Beanstalk and Father Christmas kicks off festive fun
The Christmas season has officially begun in Hammersmith with the opening of Jack and the Beanstalk, the year's pantomime at the Lyric.
The panto offers magic beans, a loveable cow, an enormous beanstalk, a gigantic giant and a massive adventure.
As the picture above shows, comedian and BBC Proms presenter Vikki Stone joins Faith Omole as Jack, alongside Cherrelle Skeete as the Fairy Godmother. The cast also young performers from the Lyric Young Company. Jack and the Beanstalk, which is suitable for children aged six and upwards is on until 6 January and you can find out more and book tickets here.
The panto is set to be joined from Wednesday, 22 November by the ever popular Raymond Briggs' Father Christmas, who returns to entertain younger children and their families as he gets ready for his busiest day of the year, Christmas Eve.
Watch as he prepares his Christmas deliveries, feeds his reindeer and finally takes flight into the snowy night. Full of merry touches with plenty of live music, songs and playful puppetry this is a perfect festive treat for younger children and their families.
The one hour show, in the Lyric's Studio is on at various times of the day until December 24 and tickets are going fast, with many shows already sold out. Find out more and book tickets here.
