Busy closing weekend includes concerts, awards, exhibitions and free family fun
The sixth Hammersmith and Fulham Arts Festival or ArtsFest, has its grand finale this weekend after a week of open arts events for all, with over 100 Arts Partners and 300 events from performing arts to literature, visual arts to film.
As we reported here, JOY, produced by The Lyric in partnership with Turtle Key Arts is a celebration of disabled artists in the borough. Following nightly events at the Lyric, disabled and non-disabled residents will come together to perform free as the Unity Choir for JOY in the Square on Saturday 8 June at 12pm and 3pm.
JOY in the Square will also kick off Hammersmith's Summer Festival.
The final three days of the ArtsFest offer a host of activities and across the borough.

Friday 7 June
The Emporium of Marvellous Things, an immersive
experience of Shepherd's Bush Market at The Old Laundry Yard, Friday 7 June 10am - 6pm, Saturday 8 June 10am - 6pm
MARGINAL - Photojournalism exhibition featuring international and local photographers, curated by Shepherd’s Bush resident and well-known photojournalist Cinzia D’Ambrosi. photography exhibition. Friday 7 June: Exhibition Opening 6pm - 9pm, Saturday 8 June: 10am - 6pm, Sunday 9 June: 10am - 4pm at Re:Centre, Thames Wharf
Mary Mendy and Khadija Saye Carer's Awards, honouring individuals and organisations who have dedicated their time to help vulnerable local people,at St Mungo's Centre, Friday 7 June, 12pm - 3pm
Adeplayhouse' awards are held in remembrance of Mary and her daughter Khadija who worked and dedicated their lives to looking after vulnerable people. Tragically, the Grenfell Tower fire took both their lives on 14 June 2017.

Saturday 8 June
MISHMASH - an evening celebrating the work of LAMDA Graduates, 7.30pm at The Carne Theatre, LAMDA, 155 Talgarth Road
Recovery Fest -
Outside Edge Theatre Company is celebrating H&F’s recovery community with theatre performances and an open house.
Saturday 8 June, 4pm onwards, starting at Fulham Library, then moving on to Munster Road
Artists' Open Studios, with painters, sculptors, photographers and ceramicists showing their work in an old vicarage in Shepherd's Bush, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June, 12pm - 5pm at Hetley Road Studios
Of Seance and Starfish - The Church Weekend, two full sets by the band. Saturday 8 June - Doors open at 8pm for the first evening live music set. Sunday 9 June - Doors open at 1pm for the daytime programme until 6.30pm. Doors reopen at 7.30pm for the evening live music set at Bush Hall, Uxbridge Road

Sunday 9 June
A Radio Play in a Day - one day workshop. Green Curtain are offering a workshop for those who would like to try their hand at acting without having to worry about remembering words! 10am at Irish Cultural Centre, 5 Black's Road.
The Big Red Bus visits Ravenscourt Park! Bring your own picnic and join a day of fun for all the family, 12pm - 4pm
Children's Annual Summer Concert - Music House for Children, Sunday 9 June, 10am - 11.30am and 12pm - 1.30pm, Bush Hall, Uxbridge Road.
