And make a splash for HAFAD
The HAFAD Swimathon 2011 comes to Fulham Pools on July 10, with the goal of raising £10,000 by swimming 26 miles in 12 hours. Or in other words, 1688 lengths!
HAFAD - Hammersmith and Fulham Action on Disability - intends to use two lanes of the pool throughout the day with swimmers swapping on a relay basis.
HAFAD is looking for able bodied as well as disabled swimmers to participate, the idea being for each entrant to set a length target and then look to raise a minimum sponsorship level.
Fulham Pools is an ideal location with an access ramp to the pool and full disabled changing facilities.
This is an inaugural event and HAFAD hopes to repeat on an annual basis.
