Battersea Park Dog Show

In support of Armed Forces Day

Battersea Park Dog Show returns on Sunday 19 June for a day filled with fun and competitive canine classes and activities, in support of Armed Forces Day.

Enter your dog into a variety of pedigree and novelty classes such as best sporting dog, best rescue dog, best trick (which is sponsored by the Friends of Battersea Park) and best marching dog, supported by the Special Armed Forces.

The Dog Show is part of the Armed Forces Day celebrations, a National event that begins on Monday 20 June. The Armed Forces work around the world promoting peace, delivering aid, tackling drug smugglers, providing security and fighting terrorism. Show your support for the Armed Forces and provide a much valued morale boost for the troops and their families by coming down to the annual Battersea Park Dog Show.

Bring the whole family including the dog(s) and join in the fun. As well as classes there will be a family funfair, dog trade stands and plenty of refreshments.

Entry to the show is free and the fee to enter a class is £1.50 per dog, per class. Entries will be taken on the day from 10.30am. Judging starts at 12.30pm. The winner and five runners up in each class will receive rosettes.

The event is organised by Wandsworth Parks and Events Police Service. The Parks and Events Police are responsible for the routine patrolling of the parks, commons and open spaces within Wandsworth as well as the enforcement of byelaws, Dog Control Orders and other park regulations, and the policing of events.

All funds raised will be donated to the Friends of Battersea Park.

All dogs must be kept on a lead and you must clean up after your dog. The judge’s decision is final. Dogs are entered at their owner’s risk. Dogs do not need to be registered with the Kennel Club. The event is held under Kennel Club rules and regulations.
