Imagine If Bridget Jones and Fleabag Had a Love Child

Love (to) Bits is to be staged at the Barons Court Theatre

Cynthia is 27 and a hopeless romantic. She had her first love at the age of 4 and she has loved love ever since, but just can’t seem to ever get it right ... Until she meets Van.

Van is two years older than her, effortlessly cool, funny and handsome. He is also the complete opposite of Cynthia’s usual type. So, this time, really, it must be different! Right?!

Love (to) Bits is an award-winning comedy that incorporates verbatim theatre, multiroling and Brechtian elements. The promoters are asking you to think of it as if Bridget Jones and Fleabag had a love child.

The show is comprised of two story arcs. The main arc focuses on the romantic life of the lead character, Cynthia. The secondary one showcases different people’s verbatim answers to the age old question “What is love?”.

The show has been nominated for the Best of the Fest award and won the Brighton Fringe B. fest award as part of the International Youth Arts Festival in 2018.

Ioana Goga plays Cynthia with Tómas Howser as Van and Beatrice Bowden filling other roles. It is produced by Eye Opening Productions and directed by Jez Davess-Humphrey and Ioana Goga.

It is being performed between 7 and 25 June on Tuesday to Saturday 7pm at Barons Court Theatre, 28a Comeragh Road (W14 9HR). Tickets are £15 or £10 for concessions and can be purchased from the box office on 07833 913760 or online.
