Dante's Divine Comedy is Back at Barons Court Theatre

Four week run in September for modern version of 14th century masterpiece

Barons Court Theatre is welcoming back Dante's Divine Comedy from Tuesday 5 till Saturday 30 September.

The theatre says a production of the Divine Comedy was staged at Barons Court in April. It was only here for a week and, as a result, it sold out almost immediately, with many people unable to buy tickets. There was only one thing we could do: ask for the production to be staged here again - and next time go for a longer run!

Dante’s Divine Comedy is a journey to hell and back. The epic poem completed in 1320 by Dante Alighieri is brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century with imaginative choreography, gorgeous multimedia and a vast array of colourful characters.

After a long period in exile, and riddled with grief over the death of his lover, Dante attempts to take his own life. But he is stopped by a mysterious stranger who leads him on a terrifying and life affirming quest through the circles of the inferno, purgatory and paradise.
