Prepare to be Chilled at Barons Court Theatre

New adaptation of Gothic masterpiece for Hallowe'en

THE MONK by MATTHEW LEWIS
(A new adaptation by BENJI SPERRING)

This October, The Monk is coming to the Baron’s Court Theatre. Matthew Lewis’ 1796 Gothic Masterpiece – and A-Level English text – is brought to the stage in a brand new adaptation by award-winning director Benji Sperring, and produced by Tarquin Productions.

The Monk follows the downfall of Ambrosio, the most pious and revered monk in all of Madrid. After experiencing sins of the flesh with an agent of the spirit world, he will stop at nothing to satisfy his desires, whatever – or whoever – gets in his way.

As the nights get darker and the Hallowe'en season begins, this chilling new adaptation takes place in the beautifully
