Talk on Royal Way of Death at Brompton Cemetery

Summer's weirdest event - with wine and nibbles!

The weirdest event of the summer is here again.

Robert Stephenson's very popular annual illustrated Death Lecture - this year discussing how the royals do it - takes place on Wednesday August 19, at 6.30pm for 7pm.

Wine and nibbles are on offer before the lecture begins.

The talk is held in the Chapel, near the cemetery's Fulham Road entrance, and is organised by the Friends of Brompton Cemetery, who say non-members are welcome.

There is no official fee, but the Friends say a donation of £6 towards expenses would be appreciated.

The cemetery, which was established in 1836 and is now a Royal Park, also hosts Sunday afternoon guided tours on August 9 and 23, from 2pm till 4pm. The tours start at the South Lodge, just inside the Fulham Road Entrance, and the suggested donation is £4.
