Sofyen: Police Appeal in Victoria Station Cafe

19 teenagers charged but witnesses sought by police

Police hope customers at a cafe at London's Victoria station can provide information about events leading to the murder of a teenager, who was chased into the ticket hall and stabbed.

Sofyen Belamouadden was a schoolboy from Acton who attended Henry Compton School in Kingwood Road, Fulham. He was fatally stabbed in Victoria Station's ticket hall on March 25th.

19 teenagers have now been charged with the murder, and a number of others have been arrested and bailed by police.

But officers still want to hear from any witnesses who were at the Victoria cafe on Terminus Place that day.

The business is beside a staircase leading down to Victoria Tube station.

Sofyen played football for Acton Garden Village Youth Sunday League team in west London and for Chelsea Kicks, a scheme run by the Premier League club for young people in deprived areas.

18 year-old Victoria Osoteku and 18  boys aged 15 to 17 who cannot be named for legal reasons were charged and remanded in custody to appear in court again at a later date.

Police, who recovered two knives from the scene, believe Sofyen's death took place during a pre-planned fight between groups of teens.
