Pedestrian Survey Of The Uxbridge Road
Road charity Sustrans seeks to improve safety from Acton to Southall
Pedestrians who use the Uxbridge road are being asked for their opinions in a bid to make crossing it safer.
The Uxbridge Road pedestrian survey conducted by Ealing Council in partnership with charity Sustrans will allow you to identify any issues and show where you think improvements could be made. Face to face surveys will also be carried out in each of the town centres along the route of the road.
The results will help to identify priorities for improving the entire length of the road, from Acton in the east of the borough, to Southall in the west. It also seeks to improve the experience and safety for all those using the pavements and crossings, including pedestrians, those using mobility scooters, people in wheelchairs and people with pushchairs.
Councillor Julian Bell, leader of Ealing Council said: “We hold the safety of all pedestrian users of the utmost importance and I cannot stress enough the importance of this survey. I encourage everyone that uses the route regularly to complete the survey so we can identify all the key concerns and improve the overall experience for all road users.”
The pedestrian survey can be completed online up until Monday, 12 November with the results expected to be available in Spring 2019 following analysis.
