Forthcoming Disruption on Public Transport

Tubes and trains services affected by engineering work

During the coronavirus outbreak do not use public transport unless your journey is essential. If you do travel you must wear a face mask.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, the following service changes will be in place until further notice:

Waterloo & City line service,
No Night Tube or Night Overground service,
A reduced service is operating on all London Underground, London Overground, DLR, TfL Rail and London Trams.
Some stations will be closed.

TfL says this information changes frequently. Check before you travel.

The track closure programme is changing regularly because of the restriction of work sites due to Covid-19, therefore check regularly for the latest information.

Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December

Platforms 12-24 at London Waterloo will be closed Saturday and Sunday due to engineering work.

Saturday

Some services from London Waterloo will run to revised timetables.

The following services will be altered as shown below and you may need to change trains to complete your journey.

London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Hounslow services will not run.
London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Richmond and Kingston services will start at Clapham Junction.
London Waterloo to Reading services will start at Clapham Junction.
London Waterloo to Windsor services will start at Clapham Junction.
London Waterloo to Weybridge via Staines services will start at Clapham Junction.

Sunday

The lines between Clapham Junction and Barnes will also be closed and replacement buses will run.

The following services will be altered as shown below.

The afternoon and evening services from London Waterloo to Kingston via Hounslow will run all day between Barnes and Barnes via Hounslow and Richmond.
London Waterloo to Reading services will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham via Wimbledon and Kingston.
An hourly London Waterloo to Windsor service will run. These will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham via Wimbledon and Kingston.
An hourly service will run between Barnes and Windsor via Richmond.
London Waterloo to Woking via Staines services will start at Barnes.
London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Kingston services will only run between Barnes and Kingston via Richmond.

Saturday 19 December - Sunday 20 December

Engineering work is taking place between Wembley Central and Hemel Hempstead, closing lines on Saturday and Sunday evening, and on Sunday morning.

From 20:05 on Saturday until 12:00 on Sunday, and after 21:00 on Sunday, trains between East Croydon / Clapham Junction and Watford Junction / Milton Keynes Central will run between East Croydon / Clapham Junction and Milton Keynes Central only.

Customers travelling between Shepherd's Bush and Milton Keynes Central should use alternative Southern services to / from London Victoria, London Underground services between Victoria and Euston, and London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central.

Christmas Eve, 24 December, Boxing Day, 26 December to Wednesday 30 December and on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 January

No service between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway.

Replacement buses operate

Service PL1: Gunnersbury - Acton Town - Ealing Common - Ealing Broadway - South Ealing - Northfields.

Service PL3: Gunnersbury - Acton Town - Ealing Common - North Ealing - Hanger Lane (for Central line and Park Royal) - Alperton - Sudbury Town - Sudbury Hill - South Harrow - Rayners Lane.

Boxing Day, 26 December

No service between Parsons Green and Wimbledon.

Replacement buses operate

Service DL-4: Fulham Broadway - Parsons Green - Putney Bridge - East Putney - Southfields - Wimbledon Park - Wimbledon.

No service between Earls Court and Kensington Olympia.

Christmas Eve, 24 December, Boxing Day, 26 December to Wednesday 30 December and on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 January

No service between Hammersmith and Northfields / Uxbridge. For stations between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, use the Metropolitan line, and if travelling between Central London and Heathrow, use TfL Rail services from Paddington.

Replacement buses operate

Service PL1: Gunnersbury - Acton Town - Ealing Common - Ealing Broadway - South Ealing - Northfields.Service PL3: Gunnersbury - Acton Town - Ealing Common - North Ealing - Hanger Lane (for Central line and Park Royal) - Alperton - Sudbury Town - Sudbury Hill - South Harrow - Rayners Lane.

Friday 25 December

No service
