Transport Disruption over Christmas


Tube and train services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel over Christmas, the following lines are affected by engineering works.

Transport for London is also offering a complete festive travel guide. with details of service changes and closures on all forms of transport between Christmas Eve and Sunday January 3.

No service on any Underground or Overground lines or local train services

Overground Weekend Engineering Works

Sunday 27 December - Sunday 3 January 2016

No trains will run between Richmond and Willesden Junction.
Passengers should use London Underground between Richmond and Gunnersbury and connecting buses between Gunnersbury and Willesden Junction.

Circle Line Weekend Engineering works

Saturday 26 until Wednesday 30 December

No service between Hammersmith and Tower Hill (via King's Cross St. Pancras). A special Circle line service operates between Edgware Road and Barking (via Victoria)

South West Trains will be running the Saturday service pattern on the following dates:
Thursday 24 December - Christmas Eve
Monday 28 December to Thursday 31 December

HAMMERSMITH & CITY LINE

Saturday 26 until Wednesday 30 December

No service between Hammersmith and Barking.

Circle Line Weekend Engineering works

Saturday 2 January - Sunday 3 January

No service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road, and between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia)

HAMMERSMITH & CITY LINE

Saturday 2 - Sunday 3 January

No service between Baker Street and Hammersmith. Replacement buses operate between Baker Street and Hammersmith

Saturday 16 January and Sunday 17 January

Saturday service
Trains between London Waterloo and Reading will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at Wimbledon and Kingston.
Trains between London Waterloo and Windsor will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at all stations via Wimbledon and Kingston.
Trains to and from Weybridge via Hounslow and Staines will start from / terminate at Barnes.
A shuttle bus service will run between Clapham Junction and Barnes.
A revised train service will run between Barnes and Kingston via Twickenham, connecting with the altered Reading and Windsor services.
The “Hounslow Loop” train service will not run. Passengers should use the altered train services and replacement buses.

Sunday service
Trains between London Waterloo and Reading will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at Wimbledon and Kingston.
An hourly train service will run between London Waterloo and Windsor via Wimbledon and Kingston.
An hourly train service will run between Barnes and Windsor, calling at all stations via Twickenham.
Trains to and from Woking via Hounslow and Staines will start from / terminate at Barnes.
A shuttle bus service for local journeys will run between Clapham Junction and Barnes.
A revised train service will run to provide a “Hounslow Loop” service to and from Barnes via Twickenham and via Brentford. This service will run throughout the day.

Queenstown Road station will have no service and passengers should use other stations nearby.

PICCADILLY LINE Weekend Engineering Works

Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January

No service between Acton Town and Uxbridge. Replacement buses operate between Acton Town and Rayners Lane, use the Metropolitan line between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge

DISTRICT LINE Weekend Engineering Works

No planned engineering works
