Oyster cards or contactless payment cards are the only ways to go
From Sunday 6 July, all Transport for London (TfL) buses are going cash free, so you will no longer be able to use cash to pay for your bus fare.
Instead of cash, you can use an Oyster or contactless payment card to pay as you go. A single pay as you go fare is £1.45.
If you don’t have enough credit on your Oyster card or your Oyster Bus & Tram Pass or Oyster Travelcard has just expired, TfL say that you can now make one more journey on a bus. You must then top up before you can use your Oyster card again.
