At night in Richmond Park, all kinds of creatures emerge. Hear about the Shrew Ash, where to this day witches are murmured to congregate, and tales of highwaymen and ghosts... Marvel at the Park’s majestic stags, who at this time of the year sleep by day and fight their rivals at night.
Tickets for our Halloween rides are now available
28th, 29th, 30th, 31st October at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.
Cost: £48 for a one hour ride including carriage blankets and a glass of sloe gin.

Operation Centaur promotes horses as contemporary working animals in partnership with humans through our heritage, conservation, community, equine assisted learning and therapy projects. Our seasonal carriage rides give people a chance to meet our magnificent Shires, and are an important fund-raising opportunity for our projects including:
• Conservation projects: hay-making, wildflower meadow, grassland management and woodland management in Royal Parks and Home Park;
• Cultural heritage work: carriage rides in Richmond Park, tram rides at Hampton Court Palace, and open days in partnership with the Shire Horse Society;
• Well-being interventions: equine assisted therapy with young people diagnosed on the autistic spectrum and innovative projects with rehabilitation;
• Community engagement programmes: cooperative group work, natural leadership development, and anti-bullying interventions.
