Chiswick Meets Cracow In Hammersmith

Local girl Lizzie to perform with ballet company at The Polish Centre

Lizzie Taylor, who grew up and studied in Chiswick is to star with the Cracow Centre Ballet in a series of performances in Hammersmith in early September.

The company, a young, enthusiastic and colourful ballet theatre from Eastern Europe, features professional classically trained dancers with great talent and a real passion for modern ballet.

Established in 2009 by former prima ballerina Svetlana Gaida, six dancers from Russia, Poland and England will perform at the Polish Centre in Hammersmith in a very exciting display including new choreography, billed as “Vita Nuova” and with music by Frederic Chopin to mark the celebration of his birth 200 years ago (1810-1849).

Their repertoire also consists of some of the most famous and best-loved classical ballets and their beautiful costumes, especially striking in the character dances, have been hand crafted in Belarus.
