Appointments rescheduled, some doctors' surgeries closed
The local hospital Trust is currently experiencing extensive operational difficulties due to the severe weather conditions. However, all urgent cases and emergencies are being dealt with.
Control teams have been established at local hospitals to coordinate activity and support patient services. For further information, please contact the control centres on the following numbers:

Patients due to undergo elective surgery or attend outpatient appointments should firstly check the hospital website before travelling or call the number on their appointment card or letter to check that the appointment is still going ahead.
London Ambulance service are prioritising more serious incidents. Patients without life threatening illnesses are being advised to call their GP surgeries rather than an ambulance.
Due to the snow a number of local health services have faced problems with staff shortages and difficulties getting out to home visits.
Community Nursing Clinics
A number of booked appointments/drop in sessions with nursing teams at Parsons Green, Falkland House and Milson Road health centres have had to be rescheduled. Patients with booked appointments have been contacted directly. If you have not been contacted your appointment should still be on BUT please call in advance to confirm.
District Nursing Home Visits
The District Nursing service is having to prioritise home visits based on the most urgent need. Some visits are being cancelled and rescheduled. Patients affected will be contacted directly.
GP surgeries
Some local practices have not been able to open today, and others are running reduced services. If you have appointments or plan to attend drop in clinics please call the surgery in advance to confirm they are still available. If your practice is closed their out-of-hours service will be in operation. The practice answer-phone will give details.
