Maggie's Centre Celebrates Fifth Birthday on Monday

Everyone welcome at Fulham Place Road Cancer Caring Centre

TV presenter Janet Ellis will help Maggie’s West London celebrate its fifth birthday on Monday, April 29.

Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy tea and cakes alongside a range of taster sessions throughout the day which highlight some of what Maggie’s does to support people with cancer.

There will also be a debut performance of the Singing and Wellbeing Course choir which will be performing two songs at 1pm.

Taster sessions, which are free, include relaxation from 11.30am-2pm; benefits and welfare advice –ask the expert – 11am and 2.30pm; individual makeovers by Treatment UK 11am-3.15pm; nutrition – ask the expert and demonstrations – 12.30pm-3.30pm; art therapy – 11am-4.30pm; relaxation/massage (30 minute sessions) 11am-4.30pm and planting summer bulbs throughout the day.

Keen bakers are also being encouraged to bake a cake for the big birthday which will be included in the Maggie’s Big bake off competition.

The birthday celebrations run from 10am-4pm at the Centre on the grounds of Charing Cross Hospital.
