Councillor calls for inclusion after Ealing Borough is left out of consultation process
Local Lib Dem councillor has called for Aviation minister Jim Fitzpatrick, to give all of Ealing borough the chance to speak about Heathrow expansion.
Most of the southern sections of Ealing, which includes the Southfield and Bedford Park parts of Chiswick and Acton, are expected to suffer badly with very noisy days and nights as well as a poorer air quality, if Heathrow expansion continues.
When Councillor Gary Malcolm heard that the Government had agreed to extend consultation on Heathrow expansion across the entire of Hammersmith and Fulham, he thought he should ask as well to get the same for the residents in Acton, Ealing and Southfield. To date he has had no response.
Cllr Malcolm said, “To stop Heathrow expansion we all need to club together to raise our chance of success."
