Woman Mugged At Knife Point

Victim initially thought Rylett Road robbery was a joke

A woman, who was robbed at knife point on Rylett Road, initially thought the mugger wasn’t serious.

The 50 year old victim had left Ravenscourt Park tube station at around 19.20 on the 9th February and was making her way north towards Goldhawk Road.

As she turned right into Rylett Road, she was surprised by man who stepped out suddenly from behind a tree just 10 metres from the junction with Rylett Cresent.

The suspect approached the victim and said, “Give me your money”.

At first the victim thought the suspect was not serious but when he produced a small kitchen knife and said, “I think it’s about time you gave me your money” she realised he was serious.

The victim fished around in her handbag and produced two £10 notes which the suspect took before making off along Rylett Road in a southerly direction.

The victim described the suspect as a black dark skinned male with a thin face, dark eyes, 5’08” tall and wearing a dark red woollen hat, dark sports jacket which was open and dark bottoms
