Chelsea and Westminster Opens its Doors

Hospital Open Day on Saturday May 8

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital's Open Day is being held on Saturday May 8 between 11am and 3pm.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of attractions including behind-the-scenes tours of hospital departments including our children’s operating theatres and our day surgery centre, health advice and information and a hospital food tasting.

There is a chance to win a £100 M&S voucher in our Cleaning Challenge—taking place all day in the Academic Atrium on the lower ground floor—and visitors can enjoy delicious free pastries and mini cupcakes from 11am on the 1st floor courtesy of our partners Maison Blanc.

A major attraction for children will be the Teddy Bear Hospital which will be taking place all day in the Kids’ Zone on the ground floor—children can bring along their favourite teddy or doll for a health check thanks to medical students from Imperial College London.

There will also be entertainment provided by live music and and a children's puppet show.

The theme of this year’s Open Day is Your hospital, your health, your say, emphasising the fact that Chelsea and Westminster belongs to all who use its services, live locally or work at the hospital.

Trust staff have been invited to take part in the Open Day, which is made possible by the Foundation Trust Council of Governors, together with charities whose activities benefit directly the patients and staff of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and our partner organisations in the NHS, social care and education.
