Greg Hands Says "Honour and Privilege" to be Re-elected

Tory Candidate wins with 62.95% of the overall vote  

Greg Hands has said it is an "honour and privilege" to be re-elected MP for the constituency of Chelsea and Fulham.

The Conservative MP gained 25,322 votes, or 62.95% of the total vote.

Chelsea and Fulham is a safe Conservative seat, but he can be pleased that in 2015 his vote was slightly up on the previous General Election in May 2010, when he gained 24,093 votes.

After his win was announced, he tweeted @GregHands: "It is an honour & a privilege to be re-elected MP for Chelsea & Fulham again, and with more votes & an increased share of the vote!"

Alexandra Sanderson of the Labour Party came second with 9,300 votes or 23.12% of the total.

The Labour vote was also slightly up on the 2010 election when the previous candidate won 7,371 votes.

Liberal Democrat Simon Bailey was third with 2,091 votes, closely followed by UKIP candidate Adrian Noble with 2,039, while the Green Party's Guy Rubin gained 1,474.

The constituency turnout was 63,6%, also up on the previous election when it was 60%.
