Three young artists from local primary schools have won the first-ever competition to be featured on Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham Mercy Umeh's Christmas card.

Seasonal designs from Milly Caracciolo-Shahi, Year 4 at Wendell Park Primary in Shepherds Bush; Naamiya Ogunledun, Year 3 at Melcombe Primary School in Hammersmith; and Alison Sploukal-Lolandes, Year 3 at St John XXIII Catholic Primary School in White City, were selected by the Mayor to be this year’s finest.

" I thank all the pupils for their hard work and colourful cards and all the teachers for encouraging the pupils," said the Mayor, Cllr Mercy Umeh. " It wasn't an easy decision to make however the designs from Milly, Naamiya and Alison really stood out."

The Mayor recently awarded the three pupils with a £25 gift voucher, while the pupils’ headteachers were presented with an official London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham plaque and a box of Christmas chocolates for the school.
