Bush Local Scheme is safe thanks to donation from West12 Shopping Centre
Discounts on theatre tickets, food and drink will be offered all year to anyone who lives or works near the Bush Theatre.
The free Bush Local scheme will continue throughout 2015, thanks to a £6,000 donation by the West12 Shopping Centre.
Anyone who lives or works within two miles of the theatre in Uxbridge Road, Shepherds Bush, can sign up to take advantage of £12.50 preview tickets, 10% off tickets to other performances and food and drink in the café bar, and other special offers.
The theatre, which you voted as your favourite business in H&F Council’s Brilliant Business Awards in November, has also been awarded a £10,000 grant from the BBC Performing Arts Fund to host theatre designer Nina Patel-Grainger, who will offer professional support and training.
And it has been praised for its environmental credentials by industry experts, having achieved Creative Industry Green certification with the highest three-star rating for its commitment to managing its carbon footprint and improving the environment.
Madani Younis, Artistic Director, says: " I believe this theatre’s relationships with the local people and businesses around us are vital to its success, and so I’m delighted that our recent achievements and accolades demonstrate this. It means a lot that this recognition from the community on our doorstep comes at the moment where three of our shows from 2013 are now on stages in America. That’s the kind of diversity that the Bush strives for."
Islands, a black comedy by Caroline Horton about greed and tax evasion, is now running at the Bush Theatre from January 15 to February 21.
