Join a new campaign for culture and try something new on Saturday
This Saturday, October 4, the Bush Theatre is taking part in Fun Palaces, a new campaign for culture that everyone can join – combining arts and sciences, welcoming and free, at the heart of our communities.
11am – 3pm
The library space will be animated throughout the afternoon with activities and interactive ways for people to share their views, opinions and stories on their local community and what it means to them, or just have a cup of tea and chat.
11am – 12pm
Creative writing with Anthony Anaxagorou
Following his residency in Shepherd’s Bush Market, Anthony will be delivering the first of a series of free drop-in creative writing workshops for the local community.
This series of workshops will explore issues important to the local community and will eventually lead to a work-in-progress performance during the Bush Theatre’s RADAR festival.
If you are interested in sharing your voice through writing a poem, a short story or a piece of work for the stage, please join in!
12pm – 1.30pm
Community Company Taster Session with Look Left Look Right
Are you interested in joining the Bush Theatre's community company? In 2015 the Bush will be developing a theatre production by and for the local community and wants you to get involved!
This is your chance to try out some simple and fun drama games and exercises, as well as speak about local issues that are important to you. Whether you’ve treaded the boards before or are new to the theatre, people of all backgrounds are encouraged to take part and there is no obligation to join the company after this session.
No previous experience is needed for either of these workshops – you just need to be over 16 and based in Hammersmith & Fulham. To book a place, please email amandacastro@bushtheatre.co.uk
