Head for the River to Watch Saturday's Boat Race


Join the party in Bishops Park or Furnivall Gardens from noon

The annual Boat Race between Oxford and Universities is here on Saturday 24 March, and we have two of the best places on the river to enjoy all the action.

There will be two Fan Parks open from 12 noon in Bishops Park in Fulham and Furnivall Gardens in Hammersmith, offering
fun for all the family with a big screen to watch the BBC coverage live, bars and street food traders and official Boat Race merchandise on sale.

The Cancer Research UK Boat Race pulls in around 250,000 spectators along the riverside watching from riverbanks, riverside pubs and other buildings with Thames views, while millions more will be following every stroke on BBC One.

The action starts at 4.31 with The Cancer Research UK Women's Boat Race. followed by the women’s reserve race, Osiris v Blondie at 4.46pm.

The men’s reserves race, Isis v Goldie is at 5.01pm , with the main event, The Cancer Research UK Men's Boar Race, starting at 5.32pm.

There is also a Festival of Rowing, which will include the Queen's rowbarge Gloriana and a flotilla of small boats leaving Putney at 3.5pm.
