Seen in a distressed condition in the water near Tideway Wharf
Chiswick RLI rescued a distressed woman from the River Thames after she fell into the water near Barnes Bridge today (February 20).
The lifeboat crew was called to the scene at Tideway Wharf at around 11.15 am. Police and paramedics were also on the scene.
A MPS helicopter assisted in the operation.
It is understood that the woman, believed to be aged in her fifties, fell into the water as the crew arrived.
She was rescued from the water and taken to Chiswick station where she was handed over to the care of paramedics.
The woman was later transferred to West Middlesex Hospital.
