Apothecary Gallery Hosts Wildlife Photography Exhibition

Showing Lynn Stout's work and supporting Scottish Wildlife Trust

Apothecary Gallery CIC is hosting a Scottish Wildlife Photography Exhibition by Lynn Stout in aid of the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

The exhibition at the gallery in Greyhound Road opens Thursday February and the photographs will be on display until 22 February.

Lynn's work seeks to showcase wildlife in its natural element and raise awareness for wildlife trusts and conservation and this exhibition features photographic prints of a variety of Scottish wildlife, such as the gannet, kingfisher, and pine marten, offering a captivating display of birds and animals in their undisturbed habitat.

In 2018, one of Lynn's featured photographs - Male Sparrowhawk - was awarded the Best Nature Digital Projected Image by the Scottish Photographic Federation Salon.

The exhibition's opening event is on 8 February from 7pm till 9pm, with 25% of sales donated to the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

It is followed by an Artist's Talk on 8 February at 7pm. This event will be a unique opportunity to hear about the highs and lows of a wildlife photographer, as well as the valuable work of the Scottish Wildlife Trust. The talk will also discuss the impact of Wildlife Trusts on wildlife conservation and connecting people to nature.

A nurse by profession, Lynn's journey into wildlife began in 2017 when a renowned wildlife photographer ran a workshop at her local photographic club in Stonehaven, Mearns Camera Club. The spark was ignited and her niche for photography discovered.

Entry to this event is £10, with all profits donated to the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Limited places remain - to book a place, email apothecarygallery@outlook.com

The exhibition will then run until 22 February. For more information, visit the gallery's website.
