The London Padel Centre Officially Opened

Offering coaching, court hire, competitions, and leagues for everyone

The London Padel Centre officially opened last weekend in Bishops Park. Situated at Rocks Lane Tennis Centre it will offer coaching, court hire, competitions, and leagues for everyone.

A breezy Saturday morning didn't deter locals keen to know more about this new racket sport which is growing rapidly in popularity. A busy morning saw both junior and adult players take to the court to play matches, rally, and enjoy coaching sessions with padel coaches from the centre.

The event was hosted in conjunction with Easi Padel (add link) who installed the new courts on offer. Max Evans the former International Scottish rugby player who is now a keen padel player, was also on hand to give pointers to people keen to know more about this growing sport.

Chris Warren who is the Managing Director of both Rocks Lane, Bishops Park Tennis Centre and the new London Padel Centre said ‘it's great to see so many people from the community enjoying this new sport. It  is genuinely a sport for all to play, easy to learn and fun for all ages and abilities. Come and give it it go!'

The event also saw support from local Hammersmith and Fulham councillors including Victoria Brocklebank Fowler, Amanda Lloyd Harris and Andrew Brown, who thoroughly enjoyed the morning too. Local school children from the MOAT school and All Saints Primary were also involved in a fun morning of padel for everyone.

The London Padel Centre will host other community focused events over the Summer, including free padel coaching to year 5-6 schoolchildren within the Hammersmith & Fulham borough.

This Summer promises to be very busy with The London Padel Centre hosting the British Open followed in October by the first ever World Padel Tour Event to be played on British soil!
