Montessori training offered - all fees paid AND a bursary too

The House Schools – Bassett House in North Kensington, Orchard House in Chiswick and Prospect House in Putney offer places on a Montessori course which starts in September 2016 and finishes in July 2017.

Students accepted on the course must also apply to the Montessori Centre International (MCI) for a place on the Level 3 or Level 4 Early Years Educator (EYE) course. The House Schools pay the MCI fees and provide a bursary.

Students spend the academic year in Early Years classrooms, working alongside qualified teachers, gaining invaluable experience and taking part in other aspects of school life. The hours of work in school are 8.00am to 4.30pm term time only. Students also attend the MCI in central London one evening a week and complete written aspects of the course, leading to the awarding of the Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy – birth to seven.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over and have a minimum of 3 GCSEs to include mathematics and English GCSE at grade C or above (or NARIC statement of comparability for international qualifications.)

If English is not the applicant's first language he or she must have IELTS (academic) at 6.5 across all areas.

In addition to the above, applicants wishing to gain Level 4 must have one ‘A' Level at Grade C or above, plus one further ‘A' Level (or NARIC statement of comparability for international qualifications.)

Very good spoken and written English is essential and applicants will be assessed on this requirement. The course is hard work but very rewarding.
