Visitors encouraged to support local charity
The Grove Neighbourhood Centre in Bradmore Park Road is holding an open afternoon on October 23, offering short free sessions of shiatsu, homeopathy, reflexology, hypnotherap, osteopathy, conselling and the other support services.
Visitors are encouraged to sample these sessions and support the centre by joining some of the weekly classes on offer.
The Grove Neighbourhood Centre was launched in 1973 to provide advice and assistance to residents with housing problems.
The centre, a registered charity, now provides a social centre for local people and a drop-in centre for support services as well as premises for a wide range of local groups and practitioners.
The centre is always happy to accept unwanted gifts, bric-a-brac, jewellery, clothes, toys, music, DVDs and books which can be sold to raise much needed funds. Volunteers who want to work at the centre are encouraged to contact Anna or Pat at the centre for more information. You contact them by phoning 020 8741 3321 or emailing gnc@groveneighbours.org.uk
