Dies after being hit by lorry near junction with Werter Road

A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a lorry near Putney High Street this Wednesday morning (7 November).

The collision took place shortly before 9.42am at the junction with Werter Road.

London Ambulance Service attended but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver stopped at the scene. Local road closures were put in place at the time of the incident.

Around 40 minutes later there was a second fatality a short distance away when a person was hit by a train at Putney station. That death is not being treated as suspicious.
