An investigation has been launched into a possible sexual assault on Putney High Street.

A 23-year-old woman was found collapsed near the entrance to the Putney Exchange Shopping Centre on Sunday, 23 December at 3.10am.

She was given medical assistance at the scene and no injuries were found but the circumstances of how she came to be there remain unclear.

Officers from the Met’s Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are now investigating the possibility the woman was sexually assaulted.

No arrest has been made at this stage.
