New head chef will bring the authentic taste of Italy to Hammersmith
A new Head Chef who has worked at Le Trompette in Chiswick and The Duke in Richmond will bring a Neapolitan flavour to Hammersmith restaurant Bianco Nero.
Gateano Monteriso will introduce dishes such as homemade oxtail ravioli with rosemary sauce and braised lamb, pan fried duck breast with quince jelly sauce and endive tart to Bianco Nero in Hammersmith Road.
The chef says his passion is authentic ingredients.
“I’ve particularly focused on sourcing authentic ingredients such as exceptional olive oil from Puglia, mozzarella di nocera and a smoked cheese called scamorza which is particular to the Naples region.” said Gateano.
Bianco Nero opened in Hammersmith in October 2007. It has recently introduced a new pre-theatre offer aimed at those dashing off to the latest performance of Spring Awakening at
the Lyric Hammersmith, or a comedy evening at the Hammersmith Apollo.
The pre-theatre dinner will include a set menu of two courses for £14.50 (£16.50 for three courses, from Monday to Sunday.
The menu will include dishes such as mackerel escabesh and gnocci with a red pepper sauce and basil pesto.
The set menu option will be available Monday- Saturday from 6-7.30pm during the month of February (excluding February 14).
And if you are hoping to ignite a spark of Latin passion this Valentine's Day – a romantic meal for two at Bianco Nero could be the answer to your prayers.
The restaurant is offering a very special dinner menu for Saturday, 14 February, which will start with a glass of champage.
