Brewdog Takes Over Draft House Chain of Pubs
But Hammersmith Draft House will keep its name and all staff will be kept on
Two chains specialising in craft beer with pubs in Hammersmith and Shepherd's Bush are joining forces, with BrewDog taking over Draft House's chain of 14 London pubs.
Brewdog has a pub in Goldhawk Road in Shepherd's Bush and Draft House has a pub in Shepherd's Bush Road, just north of Hammersmith Broadway.
The sale means that alongside his role as Managing Director of BrewDog Bars, David McDowall will also become Managing Director of Draft House, taking the reins from founder Charlie McVeigh.
BrewDog says all 213 staff Draft House will be kept on and the brand name will be unchanged.
The company is planning to invest in the current Draft House sites and may look to expand on them in future. The beer selection will be different from BrewDog bars, but with the same focus on independent craft beer from around the world.
