Funds for recycling initiatives

Up to £2,000 to community groups running projects to reduce, reuse and recycle rubbish

The Western Riverside Community Fund (WRCF) aims to provide local community groups with funds to run projects and activities which encourage local people to reduce, reuse and recycle their rubbish or buy recycled products.

The campaign is looking to help community groups to take action on waste in their local area. Groups can apply for up to £2,000 each financial year and can apply throughout each year of the campaign.

WRCF can offer community groups financial support, assistance with fund raising, training, workshops and activity days, information on waste and recycling, useful contacts and networks
and opportunities to visit waste and recycling facilities

Community projects could include:
Bring and buy, car boot or jumble sales
Junk swap days
Community composting or compost shredding days
Community newsletters
Recycling directories
Mural or mosaic on a recycling theme
