Chain says it is first of many to launch, including second restaurant in Fulham
Mexican fast food chain Taco Bell has opened its first London restaurant at 100 King Street in Hammersmith today, Friday 23 November.
The restaurant will be followed by a second, launching in Fulham Broadway in December.
Taco Bell, which is owned by New York based company Yum!, says they will be the first of 'many' new openings planned for London.
Taco Bell pulled out of the country two decades ago but has gradually returned to Britain, with 27 branches already open outside London.
Liz Williams, president of Taco Bell International said: "At the time, there wasn't as much consumer demand for Mexican food. Today there is a huge appetite for this cuisine and the Taco Bell brand.
"We're excited to bring more Taco Bell to a great city."
As well as Tacos, other favourites served up by the chain include Burritos, Quesadillas, Fajitas, Nachos and Guacamole.
