Builder Appointed to Create Student Flats at Ravenscourt House

Mansell will also create nursery for John Betts School on ground floor

 

A builder has been appointed to design and build new student accommodation buildings plus a new pre-school nursery on the site of Ravenscourt House in Hammersmith. 

Mansell, part of construction giant Balfour Beatty, will develop the Paddenswick Road site to create three new buildings which will contain 234 self-contained studio bedrooms.

Retaining the traditional brick styling of the surrounding Edwardian and Victorian buildings, the new accomodation will be three, six and seven storeys tall.

The construction will also see laundry, common room and cycle store facilities built as well as a plantroom and newly landscaped courtyard areas.

Finally, a pre-school child nursery for the adjacent John Betts Primary School will be constructed and located on the ground floor of the three storey building.

The project is being carried out for student accommodation specialist South Street Asset Management Ltd and the development is due to be complete in Autumn 2014.
