Beautiful green spaces open their gates on Bank Holiday Monday
A Hammersmith garden is part of the Great London Garden Trail which opens up ten of the capital's most beautifully designed green spaces for one day only on Bank Holiday Monday.
49a Loftus Road is a small, walled garden featuring swathes of planting including fruit, vegetables and fragrant herbs. It will be open from noon till 5pm and entry to the garden is free.
Other gardens on the trail stretch right across London and include Great Ormond Street Hospital's rooftop garden and Blackheath Park.
Closer to home is a family garden at 19 Blakesley Avenue in Ealing which has a model railway running round the edge.
