See how Studland Street bridge was replaced within a single weekend
These amazing pictures, from Patrick Green, show how the rail bridge over residential Studland Street in central Hammersmith was replaced within a single weekend.
First, the old bridge was removed on the back of a tractor.
Then the same tractor brought in the shiny new bridge, which was then was slotted into place.
Patrick says: " It was the first time that the tractor was used, as apparently it wasn't possible to crane the bridge in and out."
On Monday morning, the tube services were back to normal, with most passengers completely unaware they were among the first to travel across London's newest bridge.
