Woman Dies in Richford Street Fire
10 firefighters tackle blaze in block of flats
A woman's body was discovered by firefighters in a flat in Richford Street in Hammersmith on Tuesday evening.
London Fire Brigade says two fire engines and ten firefighters attended a fire in a block of flats in Richford Street, off Goldhawk Road at 6.29pm.
Fire crews from Hammersmith and Kensington tackled the fire for 20 minutes, getting it under control by 6.50pm.
A flat on the ground floor was damaged by the fire, and when firefighters found the body of a woman inside.
The woman has not yet been named and the cause of the fire is
now under investigation.
