New bars and restaurants transform shopping centre's Bradmore Square courtyard
Bradmore Square, the courtyard on the western edge of Hammersmith Broadway Shopping Centre is being transformed this spring with the arrival of a variety of new restaurants and bars.
The largest newcomer is Kindred, which has taken over the Broadway's Grade II listed Bradmore House, pictured above, after a major refurbishment.
Kindred combines a private club, offering its members a café, bar, restaurant, live events venue and co-working space, with a ground floor bar and restaurant, The Cellar, which is open to all, offering an all day menu, including brunch till 4pm, Happy Hour every day and hot sourdough pizza straight from the oven.
Neighbouring eateries in Bradmore Square are Dragon Cat Cafe bringing a taste of Taiwan to Hammersmith with a range of bubble teas and tasty wheel cakes and Korean restaurant Simya, offering a menu including favourite dishes such as Gzoya, Tempura, Chicken, Prawn and Tofu Katsu, Kimchi Ramen and Bibimbap.
They are joined by newcomer Chez Maiss, a restaurant and wine cafe run by Maiss and Rebal Zghaybe promising a warm welcome with all-day modern European food with a French influence, a rotating wine list, original and classic cocktails, and fresh, ethically-sourced coffee.
Also coming soon is a new pub from Craft Beer Co. taking the place of The Yardbird at the inner end of the courtyard.
This will be the ninth pub in a chain launched in 2011 by two London school friends Martin Hayes and Peter Slezak, who wanted to create a great place with an inviting atmosphere, the best products and the best service that you could find in a UK pub. Watch this space for more details of the pub's launch.
Bradmore Square itself is also due to get a facelift, with softer landcaping and space for outdoor seating during warmer days, as shown in this illustration from landscape architect and designer Beatriz Mickle.
