And invited to find out more at get together on Tuesday 27 February
They say: "We currently have some Neighbourhood Watch Schemes on the ward but always need more. The Neighbourhood Watch plays a vital role in how we communicate with residents living on the ward by sending crime updates, good news stories and general updates with information we think local residents need to be aware of.
"The Neighbourhood Watch is about looking out for one another, watching out for criminals that scan vehicles & properties on your streets and passing this information to police in either a 999 call or via email for non emergency incidents.
"It’s as important now as it has ever been for residents to report suspicious activity & crime to police. Being part of your local Neighbourhood Watch gives you crime prevention advice and informs you of incidents that are happening, allowing you to know what to look out for."
A get together for people interest in joining or leading a scheme is being held at Jonathan Tuckey Design, 58 Milson Road in W14 on Tuesday 27th February 2018 at 7pm.
This event is open to all, but the officers are particularly interested in hearing from residents from Gratton, Ceylon and Porten Roads as some of the residents have specifically expressed an interest in joining a scheme.
If you can't make the event, you can express your interest and find out more by emailing Avonmore.brookgreen.snt@met.pnn.police.uk.
