Air ambulance lands on St. Peter's Square communal garden to aid victim

A man in his thirties was found with stab wounds on St. Peter’s Road, Hammersmith this Tuesday (7 July).

A London Air Ambulance was called to treat him and paramedics informed the police of the nature of the victim’s injuries at 5.38pm

The helicopter had landed in the communal garden in the centre of St. Peter’s Square. The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The injuries are believed to be self-inflicted and were not life threatening.

The man was taken to hospital and later detained under the Mental Health Act.

The incident is believed to have occurred near the junction with Standish Road and a blue forensics tent was put in place with a cordon road the scene.
